Google Analytic
"If you use Google Analytic, you are by now aware how UNRELIABLE it is. It has a flaw that makes it not register you sites visitors time and page views correctly. A customer might be on your sit for ten minutes, then click another page but Google will not count the time correctly, and count the page change as a bounce.I have found a way to force Google to count every sec, and every page view. And no its NOT tricking Google, nor is it unethical or against Google's TOS. because it uses Google's own API and all it is is a little Java Script that you place right before the </body> tag that forces Google to count every page view, and every sec a visitor is on your site. So,,,, what will this do for you? On one site my bounce rate went fro 68% to 23% bounce rate, and average time went from (this is the biggest difference) 0.28 to 9.25 PER PAGE!. So what will this JS do for you? One of Google panda's new algorithm is page stickiness, how long the visitor stays on your site, how many page views, Google considers this in it ranking be cause it recons, that if your page is NOT relevant, visitor bounces off your site quickly, thus Google gives your site a lower ranking. This JS does NOT make up numbers, it does not cheat, or trick Google, it only makes Google's Analytic API score your site correctly. So who is interested in my Java Script? Inbox me" |

Excellent post/advice...One of the first things I tell my students is not to rely on google analytic's. Will have to talk to you about the JS... ;)))

Unable to add you as a favorite because there is no link...your info on the left side ( Robert-SEO GUY) is not an active link...When I click onto your name in the message center it takes me to the adult section on LR, then straight to your alexandra link...no fav link available...no review link...no message link...You have to re-message me with a subject....;)))

I just now noticed that Robert has his Axandra link listed under the adult category, so the porn splash page comes up first. That seems like a strange choice...shouldn't it be under some sort of webmaster tools category?

Your forum link on the left says computing software...that should be the directory category placement...so maybe it did change.If not then you have to contact Administration ( Mike)to manually change it...contact feature on upper right hand side of each page. I know that LR was having some major glitches, which included contact problemo's...if the contact does not go through let me know, I have another way of contacting him... ;)))

I just did a LR url search... Axandra.com/go.to/allaboutwebtools/2 is in the adult category.... Axandra.com/go.to/allaboutwebtools is in the computer software category.... ;)))

My JS is not a "traffic counter" It works with Google's Analytical to make it work correctly. Sense bounce rate, time spent on site and page views is a consideration of your sites content relevance, and thus a ranking factor, My JS forces Google's analytical function to count every visit, and everyone staying longer than 10 seconds as an event, It has taken one of my sites bounce rate from 60% to under 5% in just one day after implementing the code.Plus you get a better understanding of your visitors habits, where they go on your site, the flow of their visit, what content they are seeing, searching for, what page they are leaving your site. But mainly GOOGLE SEES what they are doing
