Hi I use twitter on a daily basis. Some of the tips from industry leaders: Use a photo, people want to able to put a face to the tweets you post--find people with similiar interest--comment on tweets from followers that are not spam--don't just tweet your opportunity or site, let people know what you are doing--dinner @ restaurant--going to a movie--etc., there are a lot of excellent articles on twitter, facebook, myspace, all network marketing sites. You can also find programs that you link these sites to so that when you post a comment it automatically updates each one of them for you to save time, http://ping.fm will link to a lot of sites for you. Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions I can help you with.

Twitter is just like other social media, a place for people to socialize. People on those sites hate spam. Tweet useful or funny stuff, RT people's tweets etc. Interact with people. Those are what I do.

"Please give me some ideas about how I can more effectively use Twitter in my marketing strategy." I am not what you would call a twitter expert. Take what I am about to say next with a grain of salt. I think that is the saying? Anyway, I am going to personally describe how I implemented twitter into my marketing and incorporated twitter into my websites and blogs. I started a blog the other week and within 6 hours I had the number one search result for my keyphrase in google, solely because I "TWEETED" my site. And twitters updater got indexed that fast! I did massive research on the keyword and knew I could get number one. I am not saying you could do the same. I am saying twitter is updated so fast that it can get you indexed relatively quickly. That is one thing. Another, everyone is using twitter. People & business's alike. It is one of the fastest growing websites ever, check alexa. (this is fact) So just by having a twitter you are in the right mindset. You may also place a twitter tag on everyone of your pages so others can "tweet" your page and tell the world they liked it. Similar to digg and many other social networking sites. I wish I could explain more but I cannot. I tried to help and I hope you learned something. Thanks for reading! Enjoy!

How twitter can be helpful in SEO? Can we increase traffic to our site by using twitter? What other social media can we use to promote our site?

There is going to be a webinar in about a week for The PowerBar Club members. They are having a Twitter expert talk about ways to use Twitter and go over basic Twitter etiquette. Should be good, but you have to join PowerBar Club to participate. You can email me if you want. abbyray1@hotmail.com |

Seems to me that sending too many messages would annoy followers. Not enough messages would mean I'm inactive. What's the optimal amount of tweets to send in a day or in a week?
